Unique features in Excel
We have crossed some milestones in Excel. In this lesson, we will examine a wonder feature in excel, i.e. converting the data into different graphs and charts.
In addition to the above features, we will also study the following features in this chapter.
- Converting the data into charts and graphs.
- Fill series.
- Getting week and month names automatically.
- Selecting Auto Format.
- Protecting your Excel Sheet.
- Inserting additional rows or columns and deleting unnecessary rows / columns.
- Hiding some rows / columns in the Sheet.
- Placing currency symbol before numbers.
Converting the Data into Various Charts and Graphs
A wonderful feature of excel is to convert the data into different charts and graphs. Like a magician who creates wonder things from his cap, excel coverts data into various wonder charts and graphs quickly.
1. Select the data to which the charts is to be convert. In this case, select the whole data.
2. Click on insert and click on drop down box of charts. The Insert chart dialog box appears.
3. Select the required Chart type and sample in the Chart wizard Dialogue box.
4. Click on Chart.
5. The Chart appears on the Sheet.
Adding Chart Title
A suitable title can be added to the charts.
1. Open the Chart.
2. Click on Chart title.
3. Click inside of chart title box. Now replace the default text with your own tittle. For this type your own name ( i.e., Merit Chart ) and Press Enter.
4. Then click outside area of the chart.
Changing Chart Type
You can easily convert one chart type to another.
1. Select the Chart that to be changed.
2. Click on Chart Design Tab.
3. The Chart Design Screen appear. Select the required chart design and the concerned design.
4. Click on any design.
5. The Output appears.👇
