How many mathematical functions are there in Excel

☝Some Mathematical Calculations✌

Let us solve a practical problem in Excel. For Example, let us assume that the basic salary of Mr 'X' is Rs. 10,000. His DA is 40% of basic, HRA is 10% of Basic. Deduct 10% PF from the total salary. Then what would be his net salary?

✊Let us calculate his net salary on the excel sheet.👈

1. Take the data in the cell Type salary in A1 and Rs. 10,000 in A2.👇

2. The DA is 40% of salary Type DA in B1 and type =A2*40/100 in B2 cell (if we calculate manually, we use Rs. 10,000 X 40/ 100) 👇

3. Click on Enter button. The answer appears.👇

4. Take HRA in C1 and Calculate HRA in C2 Cell. This is 10% of the Salary.👇

5. We have to add salary, DA and HRA. To perform this highlight the cells of A2, B2, C and D2 and click on Auto sum button. The answer appears in D2 Cell.👇

 6. Now we have to deduct PF from the total salary in E2 cell. Type = A*10/100 in E2 cell and Press Enter button. You will get PF amount.👇

7. To get net salary, deduct PF amount from total. If you type =D2 - E2 in F2 cell and press enter, the answer will appear.         👇

👉Using a small formula👈

We have so far performed many calculations. It is time for us to use formulas. A formula is a mathematical expression to calculate some value. Let us see how to calculate simple interest on a principle amount of Rs. 10,000, interest 12% and period is 2 years.😎

1. First enter Principle Amount Period and Rate in A1, B1 and C1 respectively.👇

2. Type the formula i.e., PNR/100 here.👇

3. Type 10,000, 2, 12 in A3,B3 and C3 respectively.👇

4. Type the following formula A4 cell =A3*B3*C3/100.👇

5. Press Enter. We see the result.👇
